About Kanel Brothers
A long time ago... in 1924 Herman and William Kanel launched the Kanel Brothers company in North Canton, Ohio.
In the beginning the brothers were known for creating stage curtains that had custom painted artwork of buildings... trees and rural scenes of the area. The local ministers who were taken by their stunning paintings soon started requesting the brothers to create religious artwork for their paraments... and thus began the Kanel Brother Paraments story.
The Crown Pattern: Another milestone was in the late 1940's when Herman Kanel designed a new brocade fabric specifically for use in Kanel Brothers Paraments... called the Crown Pattern. This pattern quickly became one of the most popular fabric for use in paraments.
